It features a color-matched Mag Safe charging port, two USB-C connections, and Wi-Fi 7 connectivity via a Media Tek processor. Rumors suggest an A18 Pro or A19 Pro CPU. These are the same as those found in current iPhones. There might be 8GB or 12GB of RAM. A 12.9-inch or 13-inch Retina IPS display at 400 nits is also possible. The display operates at 60Hz. You can also opt for 256GB or 512GB of basic storage.
Color and Design
Expect color options like pink, blue, yellow, green, and light blue. You can also expect a modern chassis. Be aware of possible cutbacks like True Tone, P3 color, or an unlit keyboard. For those on a budget, the model number A3404 places it below the MacBook Air.
Price and Accessibility
The product targets students and first-time Mac users. Compared to Windows/Chromebook competitors, it is priced between $499 and $799 worldwide. This converts to approximately Rs. 74,900 and Rs. 84,900 in India. At its debut, Apple may simply call it the “MacBook.”
Release Date
Today, March 4, 2026, at 9 a.m. ET (6:30 p.m. IST), Apple will host interactive “Apple Experience” events in New York, London, and Shanghai. There will likely be a news release on the Apple Newsroom, but it won’t be livestreamed. Pre-orders and an official announcement are expected immediately, positioning it below the MacBook Air.
